I've just realized that, officially, my hand-raised Muscovy girl is now 1 year old. I always forget how tiny they are when newly hatched!
Here are a few 'milestone' pics of my little pig called Aspen, who loves food and treats and likes to play with paper towels.
One thing that has always amazed me with her is when she was sitting on a nest of eggs. I heard stories of terrible broody hens, but the worst she ever got was when I picked up one of her babies. Even then, all she'd do was honk at me and nip at my heels, which never even hurt. She certainly would puff up and trot around all important-like, though!
Please show me pictures of your own hand-raised ducks!
At two days old:
At a few weeks:
At a few months:
Current day:
That idiot in the front is her best buddy, Firefly. I love watching them go around together everywhere. Especially funny to watch them come in the morning for their breakfast, and see Aspen leaving poor Fi in the dust! (He's so slow and lazy ha)
