Came home from work today and looked towards my pens and saw a silver in a pen he wasn't supposed to be in. Walked down and realized him and his hen were not in a pen at all but walking on the outside of the pens and their door was wide open. I believe my 7 year old left their door open. It had to be open for about four hours. Well I walked towards them and corralled them towards their pen and they walked right in, no problems. Thank God they stuck around and were easy to get back in.

That's Great! I've had some birds get out for one reason or another over the years and found the older and longer a bird has been in the pen, the more apt it is to stick around. Of course it doesn't always happen. The one big exception....Ringnecks! They get a taste of freedom and it's bye bye birdie!
