They're cute.. But what the heck are they? Pics.

I'd like to know as well because my neighbor got one at the store and she doesn't know what it is either... looks just like yours and its a tiny one! smaller than the other standard chicks... she thinks it is a banty she said. but what type??

Bantams...

My Black Japanese bantam was completely jet black, no white at all.
My Black Old English Game bantams have white on the one wing tip and white on their chest.
I do have a couple black bantams with some white on their face, but their body shape looks to be OEGB also.

Standards....

My Black Sex Links had white chests/chins, a tiny bit of white on their one wing feather.
My Black Australorps had white bellies, chests and some white on their face.
I haven't had Black Jersey Giants, but wouldn't think that would be included in a hatchery delivery...could be wrong though.

I can't think of anything else thats black that a hatchery might include.

These are my two Australorps from Ideal...

I am sorry that you were sent the wrong breed and if you call we will gladly refund you for the 2 chicks you did not get. Now to trying to figure out what it could be. With so many breeds everything has a place in the hatchery there are a couple of black chicks near them and if for example there were only 2 of the black chicks left someone may have put them in the box with the cubalaya and the person boxing them did a poor job. If you could let me know if the order was stamped with the name of th person that shipped it, I would appreciate it.

Also if you could send me an e-mail with your name I would like to look up your order and see if I might be able to help you figure out what breed you have. Let me know also the type of comb on the chicks.

Please send the e-mail to [email protected]

Thanks
