My RIR hen is about three years old and she is laying super thin eggs with lots of bumps and a very cloudy albumen when opened. She is laying most days still and appears healthy to my noob self. She was on layer feed (Scratch and Peck out of N. Washington) when this started but is now on a grower feed as I'm introducing pullets, but she's always had free access to oyster shells, kelp, DTE, and grit. My vet said she is likely "just getting older" but if I can help her have smoother eggs (for her sake) or with the calcium or other mineral deficiency/overage I'd like to! I got overwhelmed reading about it. Any advice?
