I have almost two year old red sex-linked hens. There is one that consistently lays a thin shelled egg and occasionally one without a shell. I have seven hens and do not know which one it is. I feed Blue Seal Layer Crumbles and Oyster Shell and Grit is always available. Is there something I can do to change this or is it just the nature of this chicken?

I can't think of anything else you could possibly do. It could just be a defect with that chicken. If it continues, I would think there would be a greater risk of it busting inside of her so you may just have to cull her.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I will isolate the hens one or two at a time until I can identify the one that is doing it.
