I have 2 laying red sex link hens and they are about six months old. I have noticed that my "youngster" hen started laying white, thin shelled eggs the past 2 days. I am giving the Layena feed, oyster shell, and wet mash since its HOT AND HUMID here in NC. She laid two soft shell eggs last week now it's thin white shelled eggs this week. Before it got typical NC weather she was laying brown, hard shelled eggs. Could the weather be the cause or is she trying to figure out herself since she started laying last. The age of these birds are a mystery to me. I was told when I bought them they where 3 months old back in April. Any info would help or am I over reacting. THANKS!!🤗
