I have numerous hens, but a couple of my eggs have extremely thin shells. They break when other hens set on them or if I try to clean them off. The hens have "all they can eat" oyster shells. Could this be a result of age? Bought some at an auction so I don't know how old they are.

Thanks for your help.

how long have you had them since the auction?
It could be a couple things such as lack of calcium or lack of vitamins to absorb the calcium.
Can't \ remember the vitamin but think its D? I'm sure someone will correct me :D
