Thing on Chicken's Comb With Picture

I noticed this thing on my chicken's head a couple of days ago and I'm very worried about her. It doesn't seem to hurt her that much but there is a bit of bleeding in the back of it. I haven't found any pictures online and I was hoping for some help.

It just looks like an injury to me. Probably not a problem. Blood vessels are always very close to surface. It will always appear black when damaged.
