Things good for chicks to eat?

Day 6 and I'm still unable to get Mouse & her chick to eat chick crumbles. I've tried different brands and different types of chick feeds with no success. The only thing they're eating, is whatever they find while free ranging. The chick has a semi-full crop at night and an empty crop in the morning. They stay locked in the coop & run until lunch time so they do have plenty of time to try the feeds. I've checked each bag and nothing is wrong with any of them.
I've tried putting treats on top of the crumbles to get them to peck at it but they're still refusing.
It's weird because Mouse has raised chicks before on chick feed.

What are some things that are great for chicks to eat?? (Protein, nutrient, etc..)

If the chick is growing fine, leave it alone, count you self lucky as that is less feed!

It IS doing fine but I do keep running into poopy butt. Other than that, nothing else seems to be wrong with it. I did manage to go get stuff needed just in case it's health starts failing. Since we already had Nutri Drench, I didn't get more.

you can probably try adding water and making it into a mash. but moma probably knows best
