I have seen pictures and people talking about placing things in there brooders for there chicks to investigate and "play" with. Also seen little cans and "buildings" for the chicks to hide in. Is this a good or bad idea.

I have a roosting pole. This is what it currently looks like. I have seen people put lots of "junk" in there brooders and I was wondering the purpose and if it is something I should be doing.

Go for it. Get creative. Chicks especially love having things to climb on... mine would use the obstacles I put in to escape from the brooder. :p
We also gave the brooder several different "rooms", thought that would make it interesting for them to explore, lol

I added another bar and a CD glued to the wall. I instantly noticed the loved the CD. The would look at themselves and bob there heads back and forth it was very cute. The like to use the roosting bar to get on top of there feeder. I think I will leave it as is for now.

OMGosh...cracking up about the CD. I think I will try that!

I love it when they're interested by something, and their heads will bob back and forth. So funny!! :gig
