I saw the commercial with this theme this morning.
A pic of a school girl in a seductive pose was on the school bulletin board. Every time a student took it, another one popped up. Then along came an adult male, who grabbed one with a leer grin on his face. Then the girl whose pic it was grabbed the picture and another appeared and another and another.

The message was Think before you post and that once posted, it can't be taken back before someone sees it.
It really made me think about all the bad things that could happen.

Please everyone, for your safety, especially if you are underage, be careful what info and pics you post online.

I guess I won't be posting that picture of me in my 'jammies feeding my chickens this morning!

Terrie is soooo right on this.

Because most of the members on this forum are so lovely, it's easy to forget that ANYONE can access it.

A hypothetical question, if one sees something posted by a child that looks like a little too much information, should it be reported to the Mod's or is it just MYOB?

Please report it. All the mods do as much as possible to protect our members, especially the ones that are underage.

Please understand that when we edit, delete or censor things in a known minors' posts, it is because we care. We want BYC to be as safe as possible.

It's best to play it safe. There are predators everywhere. I don't go too
far with this because I know statistically kids are at greater risk from
people they know than internet scum but once again it's best to play it safe.

I have to give credit to someone here whose name I won't mention.
The other night I innocently asked this persons grade level because of a question
posted by this member. This member politely said "I'd rather not say".
I could tell the member felt bad about having to say that but I was
SO IMPRESSED by this underage members brains and manners.

Way to go Kid... You know who you are....

P.S. If you ever move to CT I need a good babysitter.

Thank you so very mucy Terrie for posting this! One of the things I love about BYC, either BYC, is that the mods care so very much and try their best to watch out for us!
