think chicken broke it's leg

me an my dad went out to the coop yesterday an found it layin under the roost it could not walk an the leg looks broken.i have no idea what to do can chickens get around with on leg.right now we have her caged inside it seems to be eating an drink good.will it it recover from this an beable to get around or will we have to put it down.
