THREE times today now one of my Golden Sex Link pullets has been in the nesting basket. She's laying in there doing her "buqua" sound. She's done it THREE times already and unsuccessful in laying. I'm thinking she's about to lay?

My leghorn didn't do it like that so I was hoping maybe she is close, ugh. It's going to drive my kooky hearing it multiple times a day because I have that urge to go check for an egg when it's all done since my leghorn is laying and does it.

Every time I see a pullet in the nest, I'm excited. Then when they leave without any hen fruit remaining it is frustrating.
^^^ X2. I had 3 BO's that practiced for days! In. Out In. Out bagawking. I ran down to the barn each time. Boy did I get my exercise! I finally gave up.,they started laying. I'm wondering if I disturbed them. Usually when I go down there it's to let them out & get treats.

I also though had 2/3 somewhat sketchy EE's that never glanced at a box that I ever saw, never squatted prior to laying. Just found blue eggs in the boxes. So far, mine have all started laying bet 23-25 wks. It'll happen!

Quote: yea, I don't rush out there though until I do a headcount (I can see clearly from my window) and note that they're all out there. That's how I know who was in the box clucking earlier. My roo even was playing along the first time, so I thought for sure I'd find one. Ugh!
