Thinking about getting Guineas

I read online the other day that Guineas are good for snakes, rodents and bugs. After that I started looking them up online and noticed you can still order day old chicks until September. I'm super interested in getting some. But I was wondering if anyone could give me their two cents on what they good, the bad, and the ugly is of raising guinea. Like my geese they would be free range during the day and penned up at night - we've had a bit of a predator problem. Any information is appreciated. Thank you.
