Hello MaineFrame,

Welcome! I live in MidCoast Maine and have 8 chickens. We faired very well over the winter (and it was the chickens first winter). We have 4 barred rocks (tan and peach eggs) and 4 ameraucanas (green/blue eggs). They are very cold hardy, super friendly, curious and great egg layers.
