Thinking of getting two Salmon Faverollles but have read that some are extremely loud while some are rather quiet.
Usually I buy 2-3 day old chicks but am thinking that due to not been able to have loud chickens it may be better to buy an older pullet.
At what age will a Faverolles have already developed into her loud or quiet behavior ?

I have Salmon Faverolles and although one of them has crowed a few times my Welsummer is much louder. My biggest concern with Faverolles would be adding them to an established flock. My first birds were two Faverolles that were picked nearly naked by the mixed flock they were added to. Compared to my pullets I got this year they are slower moving and wouldn’t fare well if they weren’t already the big girls. In fact one was molting when the new pullets came and she was startled when the brown leghorn ran up to her. Been scared of her ever since. She was the alpha hen too, I feel sorry for her now. The leghorn wasn’t acting aggressive, just running around like leghorns do but now of course the leghorn thinks it’s fun.

My first 2 were nice sweet chickens, so I wanted more. My second two are nutty like polish are. Always running and screaming from me. All chickens have different personalities, so you can't always predict it. Because of these last 2 I don't want anymore for now.
