thinking of the floating duck house.

If I can get a pond dug, I am thinking about a floating duck house. Waht do you think?

great idea i want one.

get a pond and then get a canoe and paddle out to the duck house every morning sounds fun. but make it big so you can tie your boat to it and walk inside it would be like a floating house.

take a pallet, cover the top in plywood. deck seal it. tie 15 gal. plastic barrels to each side of the pallet lengthwise with rope. make sure they are sealed up. put your duckhouse on top, screw it down to the platform. tie a length of waterproof rope securely to one side of the platform, string it out to the shoreline. stake a piece of post or metal pipe into the ground at a 45 degree angle facing away from the pond. tie the other end of the rope to it. this way you can pull the platform onto the shore if needed.
