So I have a new clutch of 1month old silkie chicks and am beginning to think about the inevitability of too many roos. I am hoping to find homes for them once identified or at least someone that will humanely dispatch and eat. (I can't do the grey meat and black bones, I just can't.) Has anyone had any experience with this situation? Any positive feedback is greatly appreciated! Here's some pictures just cuz. 20180920_172934.jpg 20180920_173037.jpg 20181004_222453.jpg 20181004_223729.jpg 20181004_223531.jpg 20181004_222616.jpg 20180920_152459.jpg

They are cute! What a mix of colors, fun!
I've moved extra birds at the local auction, with pictures and notes about who they are. Also, signs with photos at local feed stores, notes on your state thread here, and facebook if you use it.
Some people do love that weird dark meat!
