third day of broody prison!!!

I feel so sorry for my sweet little bantam cochin. She went broody last week, and I put her in a cage with food and water on Friday. How long should I wait until I spring her? She has not laid an egg yet, so I am worried she will go right back to sitting on her nest if I let her out. Poor girl!!

I put them out of the nest until they figure out its not going to happen..?

You could always let her out an see. Keep an eye on her, and if she hops back in the nest box, back she goes!

I just put a cuckoo Marans in the broody pen today. Talk about the evil eye!

She's got a lovely 4x8 enclosure, her very own food and water, but is she happy? NO! There's not nest box in there...
