hatched October 3rd. Is it a Serama?? Thanks for any help. You people are the best.

I've never seen a serama chick before, but it's carrying its tail like it could be. The wings aren't pointed downward like the birds I've seen in pictures, though. How big is it?

yeah, don't cull them for posture untl they are more mature and feathered out. They don't have the muscle development at that age for extreme posture. The high tailset is a very good early sign.
 
Thanks for all the information folks. I like the look of the tall tail. So I am keeping mine. Plus they are small and that works for me also.
 
Sorry, I have to ask........do you have seramas, or did you get hatching eggs or assorted chicks or ??? How did you come up with serama as a possibility?
 
My hatch was mixed. But out of many hatches, I only have a few that have the high tail and low wing weathers. Plus very small. They stand proud. Seramas is only a theory, but I am not sure what else they might be?
 
The rest of my Flock are Show Girls. Very beautiful. But then , beauty is in the Eye of the beholder
