The bloom on this egg makes the egg seem more green than my other EE who has more of a blue tint.
So out of all my pullets 3/12 are laying. EEs are very dependable giving me 2 eggs a day and my buff tends to lay every day giving me beautiful largish eggs (very large medium eggs but not quite large).

Lovely! Yes, my daughter's Easter Egger bantams are the best little layers.
I cannot believed how dependable these ladies are. They were purchased from cackle in the spring. Since the two started laying they’re not as flighty as once were (except the two who are not laying). They’re slowly growing on me.

Yes, it is amazing what lovely little dependable layers the Eater Eggers are. My daughter got her from Cackle in March (sadly we had about 20 roos out of the 25+free they sent which mostly had to be re-homed except for two she kept). Unless they get nervous, big move or some other change, they all lay most days.
Aw, chickens can be a little nervous, if that's what you mean by "flighty." They are SO sweet when you get to know them and the blue and green or similar eggs are the prettiest. Have fun! 🥚🐔❤️

Definitely flighty when you walk towards them or near them. My Marans and slw and orphingtons are much much friendlier and docile and less skittish. The EEs that are laying are VERY sweet and gentle. Way more friendlier than the others.

That’s quite a bit of Roos. All 4 of mine were pullets.

Good on you for getting all four pullets. My daughter's were unsexed, ordered 25, then sent 30 (all lived, yay!) and 2/3 were roos. Haha.
Oh, I get it. I definitely see the bantam Easter Eggers as quite sensitive birds. We kept the BEE roo who was the sweetest and kindest, the best at taking care of hens and letting them go first to eat, etc (plus a super sweet special needs crossbeak roo). The hens all seem naturally sweet and gentle yet still a bit nervy or nervous (those other roos were domineering and mean, yet they needed rehoming anyway).
The BEEs are friendlier to me when they are feeling secure (been quite a bit of moving, adding to or changing runs, and so on). Good luck!

Not the bloom but brown coating.
There are only white and blue shells.
Brown eggs have brown coating on white shells.
Green eggs have brown coating on blue shells.
The brown coating can be very light or very dark, and can vary day to day.
