Not really worried about anything, thought it was kinda cool.
Chocolate 2, one of the two female mix ducks I named Chocolate, seems to have a mane on her neck! I just noticed it today. No other ducks, except maybe the gadwalls or gadwall-mallard mixes have these at this lake.
I thought she was rouen-runner or rouen-mallard mix, but maybe not. I can't remember what her mama looked like when she was hatched back in late May or early June. She was very independent as a duckling and ran around amongst all the other females, who were mainly mallards and rouens. She's larger than all the mallards and almost as big as the male rouens and rouen mixes.
She didn't have much of one a month ago and doesn't have one when she's relaxed:
