It depends. Judging be how big they all are, you could wait for a couple months and if she started crowing than she's really a he. If you want to know for naming purposes, you could name her something that could be a guy and a girl name, like Midnight.

i bought 2 black giants from a local feed store. this chick is just so much larger now compared to the other black giant. is this normal? are black giants easy sex at an early age?

.....and i am worried about a rooster named camellia. LOL

Aren't eggs are out of the question for a 6-weeker of any breed?

Jersey Giants are slow to mature so it will be quite awhile before egg-laying will help determine sex. I have an 11-week Jersey Giant (blue) and have read that Jersey's often don't lay until 6 months.

she is only 6 weeks old....so no eggs yet.

i bought her as a "black giant".....so im asuming thats the same as a jersey giant?

I have three Black Giants pullets who at that age were varying in size by almost half between the largest and smallest. Within the next few weeks, by the time their heads had feathered out, they were close to being the same size and had similar combs and tail feathers.
Hope this helps.
