(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My first chickens were as a kid, my dad had 4 RIR's, unfortunately an owl had other plans for them ... Then last year me and my wife bought 4 Chicks from TS, just enough eggs as an excuse to have chickens. We had no plans to get more, so naturally this spring we bought 18 more chicks from different places. Also 3 Ducks.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 21, unfortunately we lost one of our new chicks this year. We have 3 ducks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Have you ever heard of Pokemon? We weren't planning on this but it almost feels like we're trying to catch 'em all. Anyways here's a list of breed/names, (R) for rooster.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
. I've always loved animals, birds and reptiles especially. I've loved building bonds and relationships with almost all of our birds. (Harold doesn't like me)
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
. I breed reptiles, not much yet but maybe in the future. Play video games and read books. Maybe I'm boring but that's about it.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a wife, a 4 yr old daughter, a Shih-tzu/Corgi mix, a Husky/Schnauzer mix, 2 lazy cats, a whole handful of reptiles and fish, and 2 bonsai trees that I'm actually pretty proud of (I'm bad with plants).
I Work at M&M Mars and I absolutely hate it, but it pays for chicken feed.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
After having chickens of my own, I've quickly realized that there are a continuous stream of questions and concerns. I find myself searching for the answer to said questions and constantly ending up on BYC. So I figured I'd start asking my own questions and finally joining up.
