This is probably a silly question, so I didn't want to put it in Emergencies

When I was giving my rooster blackberries earlier, one fell from my hand and got covered in wood shavings. He immediately ducked down and grabbed it before I could clean it off for him (they're his all time favorite food). Are the wood shavings likely to hurt him? The berry wasn't completely covered, you could still easily see it under the relatively thin layer of shavings. But it was uniformly covered. There's nothing stuck in his crop, so it seems to have gone down smoothly.

It's very very easy for me to worry about him, even little things like this. I've had him for years and he's a much loved family member. So please excuse some of the irrationality.

As long as he has grit to grind up the shavings when they hit his gizzard, he will be fine.
