Hello out there. I am new to this whole farming thing, but not to gardening & have some country living experience B4 moving here - 8 acres which 1 is a pond. I have wanted ducks forever, but my major challenge has been getting this property & the house straightened out. You see I bought a fixer upper both with the house & the land. I have had land clearing crews/tree removal 3X & about to get 4th crew in here. Here is the kicker - I bought this property off the internet sight unseen, but did work with a realtor & had all the inspections that go with buying a home. Had I come in person I'm not sure I would have bought the place. Yes, I did get a good price and it is smack dab in cattle country & farming - the location is good, no commercial property around for miles. Anyways, that is enough about me other than I am an avid gardener & love animals. We have 5 dogs (4 are rescues dumped out in the country) & 3 rescue cats (all declawed by me & one has to be on my lap anytime I'm sitting down). Look forward to advise from been there done that folks on this Web site.
