This is what I get for being impulsive or is that compulsive???

I was NOT going to max out my coop....but then, who am I kidding??? I wouldn't be able to sleep at nights if I didn't have as many chickens as my coop would allow!
So I went back to the feed store and picked up two more EE's and one Brown LH. I put the first two birds in the box, and the employee there who knows nothing about
chickens BTW, said she spotted one more EE and grabbed it up. I, being so tickled at her find simply stuffed it in my box and whisked it away. When I got home I
was thrilled with my first EE. Love the colors...will be a beauty and I'm hoping for some blue eggs!!

Uh Oh! What's this? EE number two has a crossed beak...darn it!! I'm not against handi-capable pets...I do already have a SLW pullet with a twisted neck. I figure
it's what I get for acting on impulse. She's a pretty bird too and I'm hoping that her beak won't get much worse..she'll be fine!

One of my three cute Easter Eggers looks like those whitish ones. She was all yellow, then got white feathers, now her neck and head feathers are tan. So cute!

Cute! I had an EE too with a cross beak, and she did just fine! You shouldn't have a problem.

Don't feel bad, I do the same thing! I went to pick up my 2 black Jersey Giants and my 2 Golden Sex-links and also came home with 2 buff Brahmas! I took a pic and sent to my hubby at work and he sent me a message back saying "wait, there are 6 of them in there! What are the other 2?"

The following week I got my EE's and came home with just the 5 that I ordered. HOWEVER, the very next week, we stopped in and ended up bringing home a Silkie and a Frizzle that I had no intentions of ever having.

Then, then next week I went to check and see what their "hatchery choice" pullets were, got 2 of those and another Silke!!

If you only pick-up one or two at a time, it's not compulsive - it's sampling.

I like that- sampling! I will tell my hubby that is what I am doing next time I come home with a new baby!
