This is why I love my chickens!

For several months now, I have gotten brown eggs , sometimes 5- sometimes 6 . Two are dark brown (RIR), two are pale brown (BO) and two are light /pale brown w/ a pinkish tint (BR).... Then a few weeks ago, I started to get 1 green and 1 blue egg and a seafoam green w/ speckles...not every day but every once in a while I will get all three in one day... I have nine girls and they are all laying! Well today, I ventured out to the coop and there are two RIR eggs, two BR eggs and one egg the color of the palest parchement paper! It's so pretty but who laid it?? I can't wait to gather the other eggs to see what I get!

It's always like Easter here.. I feel the same excitement every day, as I did at Easter as a child!!

I'm with you, Dixie! I get so excited about my eggs every single day... and they're all brown! I exclaim over them, thank the girls and tell them how lovely they are. It just never gets old!
