My older brother tried to tell us that banty eggs are higher in protein than regular standard layer eggs. Is this true? I really need to know so at the next family function I can really give it to him!! Thank you!!
 
Nope. The only way one egg will be higher in protein than another is that the chicken who laid it got better food.
 
Nope. Bantam eggs are lower in protein, cholesterol, and everything else.

If you notice, they are smaller than regular eggs so they hold less protein, cholesterol, calories, vitamins, and minerals. If they were the same size, they’d hold the same amounts of these things, depending on what they eat, of course.

Be gentle, but firm.
