Thoughts and Prayers for my Maxine!

Hello all!

I just wanted to share and ask for thoughts and prayers if you are willing, for my Maxine. I thought she was egg bound, but she ended up laying an egg right before we headed out to the vet. She is swollen below her vent. Eating and drinking and acting normally. We had x-rays and she is staying the night for barium enema studies and blood work.
We are just waiting to hear what the barium study shows. I love this girl so much!!!

Thanks! It looks like she has a hernia-- waiting for final x-rays, but vet says that's definitely what it looks like at this point.

Maxine has a surgical consult on Thursday. She is home for now and got some free range time this afternoon.

Wow, that's amazing! Do yu have to anesthetize a bird before taking xrays?
