Got chicks they are 9 weeks old now. They were supposed to be all pullets but lol we all know how that goes. I think my all black one, they said was a black austral, is a girl her comb is still black and barely there. I have a barred rock, lol I think, but by the comb and wattles at 9 weeks Im guessing a boy? Then my supposed to be Amerucana, the white one. She is the smallest of the three with the smallest legs. She has a little comb growth but not alot. She is my favorite Im hoping she is a pullet. She had a huge tail feather by 4 days old as did my black austrolop. My barred rock did not get tail feathers until 4 weeks, about the time the comb started growing. In the one picture where she is all fluffed up she was in the middle of cleaning herself lol. Thoughts?

Not sure about the barred. Usually EE's with the red on the shoulders is a male trait. The Brahma looks pullet to me.

Australorp’s a pullet. Barred Rock’s a cockerel. Leaning cockerel on the easter egger... Do you have any better pictures of the Brahma? I’m thinking pullet but a clearer pic would help clarify as she looks quite red.

The buff brahma is a pullet she is 23 weeks. How can you tell its an EE over an Amerucana? Also she only has a single red comb not a three row if that makes a difference.

They look like all pullets to me including the barred rock. Pullets of certain breeds have combs and waddles that are prominent too. I see no saddle or neck feathers to indicate cockerel at all. Here's a photo of one of my girls.
