Thoughts on coop please

I currently have 4 chicks hopefully all are hens I kept them in a box for about 1.5 weeks and built them a coop in the mean time now they stay in the coop except I let them in the yard for a few hours a day thoughts on the coop are what I'm looking for thanks!

I highly recommend getting some half inch hardware cloth to put over your current wire.

That’s super cute! Your chicks will be growing very rapidly, so I suppose you will build them a run? My chickens only go in there coop to sleep and to lay their eggs.

I planned on letting em out during the day into the backyard I live in the city I talked to my neighbors and let them know they might have visitors they dont have dogs so I think it will be ok what do you think?

Racoons can put their hand through an inch hole too.

It might be better to keep them contained. They can reduce your whole yard to just a patch of dirt. It is easier to keep everything clean if you keep them contained, but let them free range a little bit, maybe when you were there watching them.

Your 4 chickens will need more space when they get bigger.
I love the little piviting hand holes to gather eggs!
I would however make them lock in place somehow as if they move easily, i can see chicks escaping or weasel getting in.
Nice job though, did you design and build it yourself?
