Thoughts on what day and air cell? *Pics*

This is the last viable egg that I have that my bantam Cochin is sitting on. It is a buff Orpington x RIR egg that was part of a staggered clutch. I have no idea what day it is on (yes a mistake that I have since learned from). I was hoping some of you could help me out with that from my candling pics. I can see tons of veining and movement so it is doing great so far in that aspect. I am a bit concerned about the air cell though. It is pretty big and tilted. Any thoughts?

Mmm... that’s a pretty weird shaped air cell. They usually go like this ~

As incubation progresses the embryo tends to make the egg darker. As you still have quite visible veins I would hazard a guess at 7 - 10 days.

Are you seeing movement in the egg from the second pic?.. It doesn't look so good to me but I am not seeing what you are seeing so I hope I'm wrong!

They are all pics of the same egg. And yes I am seeing tons of movement. All of the shadowing is the chick and it is moving like crazy. From what I've found, it looks like it may be around day 12-15 but the large tilted air cell is concerning.

It definitely looks farther along than 7-10 days. I can tell from the movement that it is a pretty well developed chick.

With all the movement and the size of the embryo, I would think closer to 16 - 18 days. Humidity and movement of the egg or lack of during incubation could cause it to have a differently formed air sack or deformity in my opinion (but I am not an expert).

Looks like you were correct. I went out just now to candle again and heard and felt a faint tapping. I candled and found that it has internally pipped!
