Our first time ordering from Townline. A bunch of us split an order of 100 ISA's. Awesome service, and great birds upon delivery...happy, healthy, ready for their first meal!!! They are all perky little girls...looking good! And only two days from Michigan to Nevada...WOHOOO!!!

Yay! It's always good to hear about great hatchery experiences!

Can't wait for "lots of eggs!" Every time someone finds out that we have chickens they want to be on the egg list! Just can't keep up with everyone who would like some, and willing to pay. So hopefully in August we'll be able to call some of the folks on our list.

Just an update now that the girls are laying. I checked pelvic spread for laying last night and all 15 of my ISA's are well into the 3-finger range. I was checking because I also have 5 RIW's from another hatchery hatched at the same time, and I'm getting 16-18 eggs per day. All of the ISA's are current layers according to the results. BUT!!!! ... 2 of the 5 RIW's have NO pelvic spread, not even one finger's width. Dang!

Gotta love those ISA's! The only thing I've had to adjust is the layer feed. They seem to do better around 18% protein. The Layena at 16% wasn't doing the job. They went down to about 9 eggs per day at the lowest point before I switched the feed to a local (and maybe fresher, another good thing) feed...also has less soy, more wheat at the top of the ingredients list. Also, I raised up 3 chicks for my neighbor and he is very happy with 3 huge eggs every day since they started laying.

YEA!!!! for Townline ISA's!!!!!

I absolutely love their ISA's, I have 26 and get 26 eggs a day since last august-septemberish? somewhere in that time period, I give them 2 thumbs up!!! Keep up the great work, i will be ordering more pretty soon!

ISA Browns are the way to go if you want eggs. No other hatchery in US sells them. Townline Hatchery gets their breeding stock direct from Hendrix Genetics. http://www.isapoultry.com/en/Products/ISA/ISA%20Brown.aspx
Many hatcherys sell red sex links put I am sure that they wouldn't compete with the true ISA Brown sex link. Most make them them self. Townline price is also lower then other hatcherys

I see few people on eBay selling ISA brown hatching eggs that are not from Townline hatchery. Are these fake ISA brown eggs?
