I have an approximately 3 day old Dutch Bantam chick that I got from Ideal hatchery and it is not eating. I don't know if it has eaten at all as it is quite a bit smaller then the rest. It is tiny like a humming bird.
It is drinking alot of water by itself but has no interest in eating with its flock mates. I walks around kind of like in a daze, goes to the waterer and drinks. Never once have I seen it put its head down in an attempt to eat or peck.
I ground up some crumbles thinking that would help. No dice.
They I made a runny mash and it isn't eating/drinking that either.

So it knows enough to drink why won't it eat ???? They others are chowing down on the wet mash and their crops are full. Not this little one.

Help please, any advice apprectiated.

Sugar or Sav-A-Chik in the water helps. A drop of Poly-vis-ol (no iron) infant vitamins helps too.
Boil an egg & mash the yolk with some water or milk & see if it'll drink that.
Yogurt, cottage cheese or some cooked oatmeal.
