My Name is Andrew and I live in Ontario, Canada. I run my own poultry farm 7 days/week. I recently decided to change careers after being a factory electrician was putting a strain on my family life and I wanted to be present a lot more to help raise my Daughter.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No, I had them as a child and have had my own for 4 years
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
~100. its been some time since I counted.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Americana, Red Sexlink, Rhode Island Red, Jersey Giant, Plymouth Rock, and Silky!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I've always wanted birds but my wife wouldn't let me have one in the house.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Ducks, Geese, Quail, Rabbits, Computer building and Repair, home renovation, Video games, Tanning hides.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a wife and a 1 y/o Daughter. 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 bearded dragon, ~3000 Honey Bees. I'm self employed on my farm.
