I've called other areas I've lived in "tick infested", but I truly did not know the meaning of the phrase until we moved to this spot a few months ago. We've planned on having chickens for eggs and insect control, but I recently read that Guineas are great for controlling ticks. Unfortunately, we have a lot of Lyme here and I hate using pesticides because there is a little one in the house. Hoping Guineas will come to our rescue. Does anyone have any experience with Guineas clearing out insect populations? Are they much better than chickens? Will our neighbors still talk to us if we get a few? (We're in a rural area, but the neighbors are close enough to hear noisy animals.) Thank you!
