I was just wondering if any of you had coon attacks during the day?
Mine was around 9p.m. Just curious if they are busy in the mornings or during the day too, or are they mostly nocturnal?

I'm Sure That Thay Night Hunters But I Have Shot On At Daylight But Mostly At Night I Have 19 Rir's That Have A Large Run And No Supervision During The Day, Hope This Helps

they usually happen after I go to bed or can't see outside anymore.

they are mostly nocturnal, but I have seen at 7:30pm this summer and one killed 2 of my chickens early one morning--probably around 5:00 or 6:00am--my hubby found the remains and they were still very fresh.

Sometime between 9 pm and 3 am. Got cleaned out in two nights. 5 layers and 10 14 week olds. I now have a live trap and my .22 waiting for the little SOB's. They are usually night time hunters. I'd say if out during the day they maybe sick.

My last two racoons came between 10:30pm and 11:30pm. Have had them come around 2-3am last year. Seems like they are coming around much earlier this year and are meaner than ever...like the one that killed my cat!

Speaking of horrors...my Pyrenees puppy just found the cutest Himalayan kitten that someone has shot. Pellet/bullet is still in it's little neck and the poor thing's front leg is limp/paralyzed. Am taking to the vet tomorrow. There are 4 legged and 2 legged predators here. Toss up as to which is worse.

Oh Bizzybirdy, so sorry about your cat!
And thank you for taking care of that poor little kitten. I hope it does okay.
