Hey guys! So I got more baby chicks because I am officially obsessed with chickens!
My first group of lovely ladies are 9 months old, and I waited to put them outside until they just outgrew their brooder. It was around August, and here in NC, it's still hot outside so I wasn't too worried about them. My new batch of darlings are roughly 3 weeks old, and feathering nicely. Growing like weeds! They are not using their heat plate inside the brooder anymore (except to sleep on top of, and poop on). But they are inside the house where it is about 70 degrees. We are starting to warm up here in NC, lows at night being around 50 degrees. If they still have access to their heat source, is it okay to put these girls outside in their temporary coop? Still separate from the other flock. I absolutely adore them, but cleanup is so much easier outside. Thanks in advance for the feedback!
