My chicks are 6+ weeks old now and have been in the coop for 1 week. I put their water and feed in the coop, rather than in the run underneath, since I wasn't sure they were able to negotiate the ramp from the coop down to the run underneath (it's long and quite steep).
Unless I carry them down to the run, they haven't ventured down on their own, so they stay in the coop. Yesterday, two of them managed to get all the way up the ramp back to the coop, and one came back down on her own.
Should I move their feed and water down to the run now? Give them an incentive to come down?
