Year old bb red oegb rooster is bipolar.some days he goes about his business and I mine, others he's on me like stink on you know what watching my every move, attacking me all that jazzzz. Wondering if hormones are the culprit? Idk I'm fairly new to the chicken world

It could be just his breed. I have read in several places that oeg bantams have feisty temperaments. You might be able to put him in his place by placing him in chicken jail directly after he tries to attack you. I don't have an oeg bantam, but I do have a bantam rooster that at first would chase me and try to intimidate me until one day I decided I was done with it and took a broom with me when I went out. It sounds mean, but chickens live life by the pecking order. He will try to dominate you and be your boss unless you show him that YOU are boss. After a couple of times of being smacked with a broom, my bantam rooster now knows that I'M the boss, not HIM. He's now very docile towards me. I've had him for 3 years now.

Thanks for responding! What you said about pecking order makes perfect sense! :)
