You know how Leghorns have those great big floppy combs? Well, I just hatched out a teeny tiny White Leghorn chick today. It's only been out of the shell for an hour or two and it's not even had time to dry out and fluff up yet. But it's got this giant pink baby comb folded over and lying flat on the top of it's tiny little head. OMG. It's so funny looking. It's the biggest comb I've ever seen on a new chick...

Pics please!!!!!

Gah! I've just taken about 50 photos and haven't managed to get ANY of them to show this comb very well.
It's lying over to the right and it's flat on his head. He won't hold still either. Got about 49 blurry pics here!
I'm afraid this is rather disappointing. On the up side, here's a shot of his big feet for you to laugh at...

Well he certainly has big feet! Can't make his comb out too well, but he'll make an impressive bird.

Now what was that saying about foot size...........................?

LOL! I know the feeling. I had a chick last week hatch out with a huge comb and although it wasn't quite as impressive when he dried off (it looked HUGE when he was wet, and if you looked in between the fuzz it was still huge) I did manage to get a pic. LOL. But even my chick's comb wasn't flopping over. This chick was rehomed with his much smaller hatchmates, but I am planning to keep in touch to see how he does.
