Tiny eggs after molting is it normal

Hi is it normal hen after molting lay only very small eggs only 17 grams ,?

Yeah, it’s pretty normal for hens to lay smaller eggs after they molt. When they’re going through that process, their bodies are busy regrowing feathers, which can mess with their egg production a bit. Those 17-gram eggs you’re seeing are likely just a temporary thing.

As your hen gets back into her routine, the egg size should start to get back to normal. Just make sure she’s eating well with enough protein and calcium to help her out. If the small eggs keep happening for a while or if she seems off in any other way, it might be a good idea to check in with a vet. But for now, it sounds like it’s just part of the molting process!

I would give her oyster shell or a calcium supplement and meal worms or something to supplement the protein and calcium!
