I have 5 chicks that are almost two weeks old. Two olive eggers, two Easter eggers (sold as Ameraucana- but I’m not convinced) and a mottled Java. All chicks are active, playing, eating a drinking, and no more pasty butt. But the Java is still sooo tiny, and has barely any feathers yet. I’ve read they are slow to develop, but do you think this is normal?

I had a Mottled Java who was also a little slow to develop compared to her 2 sisters (an Olive Egger and Speckled Sussex). You can see her feather develop is about same aw yours...barely any! But there wasnt as much of a size difference between her and her sisters as yours. See pics of them at 2 weeks old. Hopefully yours will continue to develop and be well. My girl who turned out to be a boy (see Avatar of him on my head!) was the sweetest snugglest of them all. And very healthy and caught up by about 5 or 6 weeks. So yours should be ok too. Good luck!
