Put the roosts higher than the nesting boxes!

Agreed it's a pain in the butt to move chickens off them every night.

Slop the floor towards the door, slightly. When hosing out the coop for seasonal cleaning or needed disinfection the water will run towards the open door, making it easier to get it all out.
Just one of those things my DH wishes he would have done.
