Just wanted to tip my hat and speak as I walk through the door. New to the chicken experience personally but I've been talking about chickens with others for awhile. Mine are kept in a pen because of dogs in the area. Plenty of room for my 1 roo, 2 egg layers and 9 pullets about 2 months old.
Learning day by day from friends around me, here and in other places (including the library where it's easy to start a chicken discussion). Looking forward to sharing and learning.

Glad you think foremost of your chickens safety. Too many irresponsible pet owners. - People expect them to change and lock up their dogs. They never do
