Tips of comb blackening - not frostbite

Hi there, any idea why the tip of my rooster's comb is turning black? It is not frostbite.
Any insight greatly appreciated!

Looks like frostbite to me. How cold do you get? Anything below 32 Fahrenheit can cause frostbite, and sometimes it can happen above that temperature if there's moisture.

Also sometimes when birds aren't getting enough oxygen the tips of the comb can turn black. Usually happens more with respiratory illnesses, or heart problems.
