Hello! I am just about to hatch a 2 dozen batch of chicken eggs using dry hatch. I was previously doing wet hatch, with so-so hatch results, but decided to try dry hatch. My results was a 90% hatch rate, and I love doing this type of hatch. I'm wanting to do everything that can be done to increase my hatch rate. I am doing the right sized eggs for hatching; no imperfections; the incubator is sterile and clean; I collected eggs a day ago, so the air sac is set and the eggs are only a day old. Is there anything else I can do to perfect my hatch rate? I've heard of cooling for 30 min. or so every day until day 18, to stimulate a hen getting off her clutch. Is this a good idea? Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!
