Okay, I havent gotten ducks yet. But im curious if there are any ways to keep the mud down, in their run and in their coop. Im in MO by the way, so with weather and stuff.

From what i hear they are 'The pigs of the poultry world'

- Will try

Well I have ducks and can't get them to stop drilling in the dirt but it does help a lot if you try not to let water on the ground. So for example my ducks will just sit and drill all the water out of a fountain water. All Day Long!! So mine drink out of a deep bucket. I am about to move the ducks to a new pasture and I want to try a trick I read which was to keep them in a smallish fence with their house in it and cover the ground with cedar pellets. Have a larger fence around it in which grass and plants grow. Then only let them out when the ground is dry and supposedly that keeps the little quackers from mucking things up. But we shall see!
