so we have a broody hen sitting on some Lavender Orpington eggs we got off ebay. This is our first time hatching eggs, it's been fun! so they should be ready to hatch in about 4 days (this Friday) soooooo excited!!! She has 10 eggs - we have candled them a couple times, but being newbies we aren't exactly sure what to look for. We think 7-8 of them are going well. We mostly did this just for the experience and plan to sell the chicks, but we would like to keep one. Of course we'd like to keep a girl - any tips for what we should look for in Lavender Orpingtons in the first week or so?
